Become A Volunteer
No Fret Guitar Camp is a 501(c)(3) organization that operates solely through the support of volunteers. If you have a heart for Jesus and for helping children find worship, faith and value through music, then you are perfect to help us move our mission forward to each child in need.
Our goal at No Fret Guitar Camp is to reach children in low- income communities and share with them the gift of music. Each child will receive a guitar and 10 hours of guitar lessons to help them get started. While the initial step may seem small, it will set each child up for a lifetime of tangible connection to Jesus and an outlet through which to learn confidence, value and ownership.
There are two ways you can volunteer with No Fret Guitar Camp:
If you can play the basic open chords (G, C, D, E, Am, Em), then you have everything you need to be an instructor with No Fret Guitar Camp.
Typically, a camp host is a church or community organization with a building to host the children for their lessons. If you’re interested in hosting a camp, we recommend that you have the following:
Chairs for students and instructors
Music stands or chairs on which students can place music sheets
Enough space for six students and an instructor to be able to sit at least 6 feet apart
An internet connection so instructors can stream audio and video files
A computer, tablet and speakers with which instructors can play audio and video files (not a necessity)
If you are interested in volunteering as a guitar instructor or camp host, please fill out the contact form below for more information. Our team will be in touch with you shortly to discuss the different ways that you can make a lasting difference in the lives of children in our community. We appreciate your heart for Jesus and for children, and together we are reaching hundreds of youth with the gospel and love of music.
